THE ESG KNOW-HOW YOUR ARE LOOKING FOR

ESG ARCHITECTS

THE KEY OF A NEW WAY OF ARCHITECTURE

ESG TRANSITION

ESG, which stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance, has become increasingly important in the architecture field.

The ESG approach emphasizes the importance of social, sustainability, responsibility and ethical leadership in the process of designing and constructing buildings up to the end of them.

Our Environmental considerations in ESG architecture focus on minimizing the negative impact of construction on the environment. This includes strategies such as using sustainable materials, designing energy efficiency systems and reducing waste.

Social considerations address the impact of our projects on communities and the people who use them. We consider how buildings will affect the health and well-being of occupants, as well as the surrounding environment. This can involve creating spaces that rise the community engagement and the social equity and ensuring that the building is accessible to everybody.

A BETTER BUSINESS

In the field of architecture, the emphasis on ESG can be seen in various aspects such as energy-efficient fixtures, mobility features, thermal performance, low-carbon construction materials, and retail neighborhood permeability.
The use of ESG metrics can lead to a more informed decision-making strategy that begins with design and produces results-driven outcomes.

THE ROAD

OUR 5 POINTS TO THE ESG DESIGN

  1. ESG is a framework that helps stakeholders understand how an organization manages risks and opportunities around sustainability issues.
  2. The future of ESG in architecture and design involves our understanding of ESG metrics to tangibly quantify the positive impacts of design innovations.
  3. The metrics include quantifying percentages of open space, visual permeability, tree canopy ratio, and the proximity of access to retail.
  4. The new paradigm of the future office examines the office through an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) lens, focusing on experience supercharger, connection to the outdoors, community catalyst, and real impact investments.
  5. The KPIs that evaluate the future office include user experience, community impact, cultural impact, social equity impact, and environmental impact.

KPIs

ESG IN ARCHITECTURE

The key performance indicators (KPIs) of ESG in architecture depend on the specific project or development, but some common ones include:

  • Percentage of open space
  • Visual permeability
  • Tree canopy ratio
  • Proximity and availability of amenities (such as grocery stores, banks, gyms, etc.)
  • Thermal performance of outdoor space
  • Energy efficiency of building materials and systems
  • Measurable impact on community health and wellbeing
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion in design and development
  • Reduction of carbon footprint and other environmental impacts
  • Contribution to local economic development and job creation
  • Overall impact on the surrounding community and environment

ESG KNOW-HOW

WHAT WE DO

In order to consider the ESG values in our design project the following aspects will be taken into account:

  1. Environmental sustainability: the project should focus on minimizing the environmental impact by using environmentally and eco-friendly materials, reducing waste and promoting energy efficiency,
  2. Social responsibility: the concept should consider the social impact of the project, such as the accessibility for people with disabilities, ensuring worker safety, and respect for cultural and social diversity,
  3. Governance: the design should adhere to ethical business practices and transparency. This includes complying with laws and regulations, promoting diversity and inclusion, and ensuring fair labor practices,
  4. Life cycle analysis: the entire life cycle of the building, including construction, use and end-of-life disposal, should be considered from the beginning,
  5. Sustainable transport: the masterplan should include sustainable transportation, such as public transport, electric-powered services or cycle routes,
  6. Water management: the MEP and architecture projects must consider the way to reduce water consumption and promote efficient water management,
  7. Natural environment: the project needs to incorporate natural elements into the project, such as green rooftops, bioclimatic greenhouses or living walls, to promote biodiversity and enhance the natural environment against the old idea of city and building.

These aspects contribute to a more sustainable future.
