Joy of Life - brightfull colors for a modern apartment

The remodeling of a 400sqm apartment in Porta Romana district led to the creation of 2 indipendent  residential units.

The resulting units are designed for 2 families with different lifestyle.
The smaller unit has a floor area of 120 sqm, distributed on one floor. The apt has been updated to contemporary needs, with the creation of 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, a double living room, separated kitchen and service area. Strong colours, mix of modern and vintage furniture pieces reflect the fresh and happy spirit for living of the young family who’s living the house.

Pantry and Laundry Doors

1920s conversion

The original layout of this 1920s apartment didn’t suite the needs of the clients, a couple of lawyer in the mid 30s and the 2 young children, due to the presence of 1 bathroom, no pantry/laundry and a separated kitchen.
The project, that keeps the character of the building, with trims on walls and wooden floor, redesign the layout creating 2 bathrooms, an open space living room with kitchen, a pantry and a laundry.

Neutral colors and modern furniture, together with “terrazzo Floor tiles” and ducted HVAC system create a nice blend of modern and heritage.
